Vesiflo Announces a New Male Device to Replace Urinary Catheters
Vesiflo, whose inFlow™ voiding prosthesis for women just received Medicare reimbursement, announces a new device for men.
The Vesiflo IntelliFlow™ male voiding prosthesis has successfully completed first-in-human testing, a major step in preparing for clinical studies. The IntelliFlow is intended for use by men with neurologically impaired bladder function. There are an estimated 400,000 American men with spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, etc. who currently rely on catheters to empty their bladders. No one wants to use a catheter and a new medical option is very much needed.

The patented IntelliFlow is the first device that:
- Is fully internal to the male anatomy
- Aims to reduce the risk of infection and other complications
- Is for extended use, replacing multiple catheters
- Allows users to wirelessly control a remote control that actively empties the bladder
- Can be inserted/removed by the user (or clinician) with a simple tool
Like the inFlow, the IntelliFlow should have a transformational effect on the lives of its users by normalizing their voiding and restoring their personal dignity.
